Aging Waivers
Aging Waivers provide home-based and community-based services to qualifying persons age 60 and over who require nursing facility care but choose to live and receive care in their own home. As an Aging Waiver provider, we provide direct services designed to support your choice to live more independently. In addition to basic personal care services, other services covered may include:
- Adult daily living services
- Assistive technology
- Community transition services
- Counseling services
- Home adaptations
- Home delivery of meals
- Home health services
- Nonmedical transportation services
- Nutritional consultation
- Self-directed services, supports and goods
- Personal emergency response systems
- Respite care
- Specialized medical equipment and supplies
- TeleCare
Attendant Care Waivers
If you have a physical disability, are between the ages of 18 and 59 and want the freedom to live in or near your home, an Attendant Care Waiver may provide the services and support you need. To be eligible, you must be mentally alert and capable of managing your own financial and legal affairs and have the ability to hire, fire and supervise an attendant care worker. You must also have a physical impairment that requires nursing home care for at least 12 months and requires assistance with self-care, mobility and other activities of daily living. While most participants don’t pay into the Attendant Care Waiver program, you may be assessed a minimal co-payment based on your income. Services that may be covered include:
- Community transition services
- Personal assistance services
- Personal emergency response system
- Self-directed services, supports and goods
- Service coordination
Independence Waivers
Independence Waivers provide home-based and community-based services for individuals ages 18 to 60 with physical disabilities. However, you must not have an intellectual disability, have a major mental disorder or be dependent on a ventilator. Services through this waiver help you remain independent in your own home, even when you require a nursing facility level of care. Your physical disability must result in substantial function limitations in self-care, mobility, self-direction, learning, communication and/or the capacity for independent living. Services that may be available include:

- Benefits counseling
- Career assessment and employment skills development
- Community integration and transition services
- Financial management services
- Home health
- Job coaching
- Nonmedical transportation
- Personal assistance services
- Personal emergency response system
- Respite care

OBRA Waivers
If you have a developmental physical disability that requires an intermediate care facility level of care and are between the ages of 18 and 59, an OBRA Wavier may allow you to remain in your home with home-based and community-based services to support your independence. Conditions that may qualify you for this waiver include physical, sensory or neurological disabilities that presented before you turned 22 and likely will continue indefinitely. Your disability must result in substantial functional limitations in self-care, mobility, self-direction, learning, communication and/or the capacity for independent living. Services that may available include:

COMMCARE Waivers
COMMCARE Waivers provide home-based and community-based services when you’ve been diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury (TBI). You must be at least 21 years old and have a medical diagnosis of TBI to qualify for services and support that help you remain as independent as possible. Services available may include:
- Accessibility adaptations
- Adult daily living services
- Community integration and transition services
- Financial management services
- Home health
- Nonmedical transportation
- Personal assistance services
- Personal emergency response system
- Prevocational services
- Residential habilitation
- Respite care
- Service coordination
- Structured day habilitation services
- Supported employment
- Therapeutic and counseling services
